This is utterly brilliant! So unusual in it's colour palette and also subject. You have such a light touch with the medium and can produce these smooth and velvety tones - just amazing.

I wanted to try an exercise in creating simple colour shapes with with a complex subject, I have seen other artist do this with their choice of subject, but I love painting people, and this scene wanted me to paint it. I also wanted to paint in restrained colours, something that I could live with on my own wall. I was hoping to exhibit this to gauge reaction to it, but it sold within half an hour of being on Facebook, but I'd still like some feedback if you don't mind, as it won't be exhibited now. Thanks Gilly
