Super simple style and yet expertly painted. I like it very much. The Kimono is beautiful.

This is a lovely collection of figures. I am especially impressed that you can do all this in felt tip pens!!! No chance to correct mistakes, I'd imagine. Just hink how good you'd be by now if you'd not stopped painting in your teens. Still, looks like you've caught up in the meantime. Love the Geisha Washing Hair pic. It truly does look like Japanese art.

I agree with Janet this looks so oriental and beautifully painted as is your other geisha, well done.

Thank you Val Janet Jeanette for your comments..I did make a mistake with the felt tips and had to use some tippex on the ballet dancers arm...I really like using them as you can also use a little water to make a wash and also even out the colour. I've never learned how to paint, so I'm sticking to simple styles and learning by my mistakes..and yes I wish I'd kept it up from my teens..my art teacher at school used to say my drawings were good ..but I don't suppose I really believed it

An interestingly different gallery. Love that 1930's Beardsley? feel to this...

Now, suppose you'd gone to art school. If what you see on TV is anything to go by, you wouldn't be producing work like this at all, but rather some ugly and deliberately shocking stuff that I, personally, wouldn't give house room to. On the other hand, it's a pity your art teacher or your parents didn't encourage you more. You might be famous by now!

wow Janet I believe that's the nicest thing anyone has ever said to me..you bought a tear to my eye..

Just to say to any kind person who left a comment..I am now doing a BA in fine art (hons) it'll take 6 years!! but loving every moment and its mainly due to your support that I had the courage to apply. They say its never too late!!

Gill I love this , I spent a couple of months in Japan in my twenties and your painting evokes wonderful memories, its very well painted and your gallery is great, I hope that while doing your BA you don't lose your own unique talent but enhance it, I enjoyed looking through your gallery and I thank you for your comment on Scarlett, I wish you every success and look forward to seeing more of your art. : )
