What a lovely painting this is. It's a memory captured in time. My children are grown up now but I have memories just like your painting of the simple day to day pleasures of walking to school with them. Beautifully painted Gerry.

Sketching is so important so I like to sometimes just play...I look at my subject and then work out shapes it is very freeing to not get caught up in the detail.
