Beautiful Gerry, I love the composition - how you've used the tree to direct the eye to the left figure, and the easel to direct to the right hand figure, then the amazing light to take you up the figure's back to her hair. An accomplished painting. Fab!

Sketching is so important so I like to sometimes just play...I look at my subject and then work out shapes it is very freeing to not get caught up in the detail.
