You've tried heavyweight cartridge, no doubt - fun to use every now and then.

Looks superb to me gerhard. I would love to be able to paint as loose as you . Brilliant.

I'll add that that to my list Robert. At this stage it's a bit of a muchness between the top contenders - Saunders Waterford and d'Arches. Watch this face... I mean space.

Both lovely papers - but you might enjoy one of the Daler Rowney heavyweight cartridges: with PLENTY of water, the paint just flows everywhere, in incredible intensity: point is, it flows over a small area then stops where you've stopped the water. And you can draw into it with fingernails etc.... think it would serve you well.

I'm still experimenting with papers - this stuff is so absorbent and unforgiving that it makes the task difficult. There's little chance of using waterbeads to mingle and blend so I had to apply lots of layers - not my favourite way to go.
