Youve used the same brushstrokes elsewhere which you have used to paint the tree which brings my attention to the tree with even greater power. A wonderful style.

Love this Georgina it's a beauty so well painted

A very dramatic painting Georgina, love the pale peachy gimpse of light

Love the subtlety of this...great work Georgina

Beautiful depiction Georgina

Like this for its economy of brush marks, very atmospheric too.

Wow this is something else Georgina, wonderful use of both paint and brush work.

Fabulous. Great brush marks and subtle use of colour.

I just love this, everything about it - gorgeous brushstokes and subtle colours and that touch of light - makes me want to get my oils out.- it's an oil like a watercolour, but better and I have never thought this before, Georgina.

A super, strong atmospheric painting Georgina :)

Thank you so so much everyone for your incredibly kind and supportive comments. Its the first time I've worked this large in this way, and I"m hugely relieved it worked! Its about a 1 in 5 canvas success rate at the moment. For every 4 I scrap, one comes out just about okay on this scale....!!

This is a beautiful piece of work. So soft!

Wonderful old oak.

No of course it is definitely oil paint...and you are using big brushes I think. Working fast with big brushes usually give a landscape this much spontaneity. I love your style Georgina. Your work is right up my street. Looking forward to more

Superbly fractured composition, Georgina. Highly original treatment and very effective palette. It's good.

This is a stunning painting Georgina. I love your loose brushstrokes and the amazing way you achieve such energetic and inspiring results. I long to be able to paint like this!

Thank you Claire, Clare, Timothy, Ruth and Linda!

Very atmospheric and beautifully painted. Love it, cheers!
