Thank you for your comments everyone, it's been very interesting going back over these watercolours with pastel. Generally I think they have improved the originals as finished items. My watercolours are usually on rough papers and I find these are not easy to apply pastel to. If I was purposely using the two together, I would definitely use a smoother W/Colour paper for the watercolour stage.
