This is a lovely watercolour Fred, great use of colour, almost looks like an illustration for a book like the way you have portrayed the trees

Warm colours which I hope reflects your memories! Nice painting and the effects work well.

Thankyou Ros and Gudrun. The foreground I'm standing in is the churchyard of St. Johns Church. When I was there in the forties it was just tarmac. We used to play cricket on it with a real cricket ball!. No health and safety in those days.

I agree about the lovely painting and I could see these in many a book!

Thank you Paul

I really like this piece, Fred. It conveys a super narrative all on its own, and your palette is really lovely. I haven't been commenting for a while because I was pretty inundated, so apologies if I missed some of your earlier pieces. I'll get round to it eventually.

I love the pose and the detail. This is obviosuly a building you know well and that means a lot to you.

Thankyou Seok and Kim. Yes indeed it does, lots of very happy memories. My wife also went to the same school and was head prefect.
