A good likeness, Fred, and you've captured her expression beautifully. I also like the way you painted her clothes - it contributes an air of sumptuousness to the painting.

I agree this was a lovely portrait Fred and the gleam and rich blue of her dress and her pearls did add a sense of regality to the occasion

This is from a photo of our friend when he met the Queen to receive the Queens award for industry and innovation on behalf of he's firm. I haven't included him in the painting because I wanted to convey the look of kindness on her face when meeting her subjects. I entered this for the Daily Mail Jubilee Competition
