you certainly got the feel of hookhead, love the rocks leading up to it and the colours reflected in the pools of water - must take a spin down there someday for a bit of plein-air, your gallery is really interesting and what great places you have visited, I also love the ones of people caught in quiet moments eg your wife sitting on steps and your neighbour doing the garden - great !

Thankyou Norah for your lovely comments, really appreciated. Good luck with your plein-air, I just don't have the confidence to do it.

Fred this is lovely. Did you plan the way the cloud formation and the rock formation lead the eye to the lighthouse....if so, a genius stroke. The colours are great and like Norah the reflections in the rock pools are a nice touch.

This is a fabulous addition to your holiday collection, Fred. A great composition, lovely colors (especially the sky) and the lighthouse and rocks are just so well done. Everything is just perfect and comes together beautifully.

Thankyou again Seok, and Fiona. The attraction for me was the rock formation. I walked down to the edge and looking back at the lighthouse I just saw a great compostition. I always think the composition is 95% of a good painting.

This is from a photo I took a couple of years ago. It was midday, but I thought I'd change it to an approaching sunset.
