Charming, and a very strong composition

Another bright , bold painting. Lovely.

The sea at Bridlington is brown, nice picture but it looks more like the carribean than Yorkshire

Thankyou all for your comments. It was our first ever visit to Bridlington and the light was amazing. I know the water is brown John and I did try to get the brown appearance but it didn't look right with the rest of the colours. Perhaps I should go back and try for more light in the brown.

That is the wonderful thing about painting - you can do what you like with the colours and, in my opinion, you should always add your slant to anything you paint. I love the vibrant blue and anyway - no idea where Bridlington actually is - isn't it in the Carribean!!?? Lovely definite, confident painting.

hi Fred thanks for your very generous comment on my Chilterns one. I love this. I certainly use my artistic license to err on the side of boldness when it comes to colour, I think we have that in common...

Very strong and vibrant painting. Great work

Thank you Trevor.

I'm new to POL, Fred, So I thought I'd start by looking at the paintings of those who had commented on mine! I was immediately attracted to your Reflections at Bridlington. How often have I strived to capture the magic of water, but you have depicted its movement in so effectively. Well done - Joe

Thankyou Joe. I did enter this for competition this year but it was rejected!
