It’s always difficult I think ( but maybe only for me) to represent townscapes loosely but with just the right amount of info. Well done here and I love the cool blues you’ve used in the shadow areas. I’ve just started enjoying painting cityscapes and look forward to continuing but this morning the fields of poppies near the coast ( Northumberland) are taking precedence. Well that was a bit long- winded!

Excellent use of tools

Interesting technique, Stuart. Using kitchen spatulas and scrapers instead of brushes gives the townscape a very distinct, loose structure. The color palette works well here. 🏙️🛠️

Thanks for the nice feedback. The use of spatulas and knives was just a whim I have been using of late. It certainly makes you paint loose!!
