The harbour entrance was barely visible by big blobs of light hitting every available patch of water or refective surface. And that is how I painted it.

A very loose painting of Maryport Harbour and surrounding Town. Oils and Cold wax 80x40cm. The photo and inspiration for this painting, came after attending the evening opening of "Breathe" a fabulous exhibition by pastel artist Sarah Reid at the Shipping Brow Gallery in Maryport. I was able to use my phone to get a snap this wonderful setting sun on my way home from the streets above the harbour.
