It's just gorgeous - peaceful landscape painting to help calm us down in this frenetic and increasingly troubling world; that break in the foreground really makes the painting; distinguishing it from any hint of the beginner mistake, of just painting a solid lump of grass and perhaps adding vast amounts of detail in order to disguise the fact that their foreground simply doesn't work. Fantastic sky, of course - but we've come to expect that by now!

Frank, your delicate washes infuse the scene with a remarkable diaphanous quality, transforming the coastal landscape into an ethereal, weightless vision of light and air.
