Even without a layering technique, you've produced something bold and distinctive, that has clear form and volume. It's also a strong graphic, to boot.

You haven't lost anything by not being able to do a reduction linoprint. This is such a strong image.

I originally intended this to be a reduction linoprint, but I used a new synthetic lino alternative on which my carefully drawn pen lines tended to wipe off where I touched them. This rendered it impossible to do consecutive layers, so I had to settle for a single colour print rather than start over on a proper piece of linoleum. Based on an image from Unsplash, 8x5 inch linoprint on cartridge paper using a water based ink.
