What a beauty? Smashing trumpet shaped Daffodils. I have had a very good stare at this it is just lovely.

I'm following Jeannette again! I agree, these are beautiful. I find yellow flowers very difficult to paint, hard to get the colour of the shadows natural looking but you have suceeded extremely well in this one.

Just gorgeous, what a lovely cheerful painting, i just love daffodils, love the way you have done the trumpets.......just wonderful. i would be very proud to have done this, so well done indeed. Rhian. (irene)

Oh this takes me back! When I was 10 I won a National competition by Cadburys to paint a design for a plate and I put daffs all round it. the prize was a 6 foot Easter Egg but my headmistress wouldn't let me have it and insisted that the whole school got a cream egg each instead- rotter! I can't look at a daff now without hating that teacher LOL. Still have the certificate though. This is just beautiful, such rich colours

Thank you ladies you are very kind. I wasn't sure about this one, I did fiddle a lot as there seemed to something I wasn't happy about, but couldn't put my finger on it ! Diana, how unfair, I bet your teacher ate the egg herself !

I love daffodils & the way you have captured these is superb. I used to show daffs in garden clubs.

Thanks Max, I appreciate your comment.

What a lovely painting. Are the daffs out in your part of the world now? Many thanks for your commens on my paintings. I often can't find you when I want to find your gallery to thank you.

Thanks Margaret. No the daffs won't come out for ages here in Derbyshire, we are always weeks behind although the leaves have appeared. I bought these, then made the colours up. I have just picked some purple and white helleborous, ( hope it's spelt right) drawing them now with some snowdrops.

Beautifully painted Carole, you must have known St Davids day was March 1st. Best wishes, Bill

A lovely, lively painting. I really like the trumpet part, its really great. Thanks for comments to still life 1.

Lovely Daffodils, must have a go at some myself. Not allowed to buy them as we have so many in the garden which aren't opening yet. Can't wait.

I have a vase of daffs on my window sill just crying out to be painted; the most delicate lemon and almost white with deep ruffles. I wish I had your skill.

I missed this one Carole.Very nice

I missed it as well, and it's nearly June! So I am much further adrift here than anyone else, but just had to say this is the best painting of daffodils I have seen in a long time Carole!

Thanks Ros, I gave this to a charity shop, hope they got a decent price for it!

fantastic. I love daffodil a lot. You've done a very nice and live job with them.

Thank you Neda for your kind words.

Gorgeous and one of my favourite flowers.
