I agree with the comments about a dreamy look, I find it vaguely mystic, as if some mythological character is going to appear. Very atmospheric.

No, it's not boring at all, quite the reverse actually. You have colour, composition, depth and originality. It's lovely, and that little fence in the middle ground is a stroke of genius. Brian

Some rather lovely passages in this piece Carole. I've been using pastel recently but with limited success.

The scene might be boring otherwise, but you made it look so inviting. Beautiful colours, soft background and nice marks indicating the foreground.

Thanks Andre yes it is a bit diffused, not only the light I think it could be less blended will have to practice:)

I have to say that I like the 'diffused' effect, I think it's a very appealing painting. I did comment on this earlier but it didn't register, not the first time has this happened to me.
