You paint such beautiful watercolour flowers and I love your dark backgrounds, they really show off the dog roses to their best advantage.

Thanks girls again for your kind words. Yes, it's mostly watercolour, with a touch acrylic ink on the distant buds,to fill out he top corner.

Hi Carole This I love also, was it done from life? I particularly like the depth and range of dark tones against the stark white flowers. Do you use tinted papers?

Hi Debbie, thanks for your encouraging words. This painting was done last summer after I had visited Patching's Art Festival, I was so inspired by the work I saw, I just plunged in regardless mixing washes, letting them run. I did mask out the roses first , these are just the white paper, so no tinted paper. Thanks again Carole.

O dear, you have so many comments on all your paintings, there is nothing more to say for me. I can't stop myself browsing your gallery almost every day. I don't know which one I prefer, they are all perfect. By the way, did you notice on the webs home page and the gallery home page, there is an item "Interviews with Gallerie artists". I entered that and filled in the text. I think it is very interesting to know a bit more about our fellow artists: who they are, where they live, what they like, etc.. In the Blog-section, it is not easy to know who is who, so I find this "Interview"-item a better idea. What do you think?
