This is very pretty! A lovely magical feel - it would make a super greetings card.

I agree, a very magical feel and beautiful colour work.

A lovely fun image Carole.I like the iridescent medium, it normally doesn't show up so well in a photograph

Love the shimmer in this painting. "FANTASTIC"

Hi Carole, Very beautiful, nice use of the iridescent medium, not overstated. Best wishes, Colleen

Carole, this one knocked my eye out. Smashing work. Love your use of iridescent medium. I have still got a bottle from a few years ago and didn't get the same wonderful results as you! Excellent.

What a beautiful painting.

How beautiful !!!!!!!! Superb use of colours and the composition is brilliant.

Very generous of you all, I really appreciate your comments. Carole.

fantastic, its really very beautiful.

stunning piece, wow.

Awaiting feathery caresses of petalled summer air, with wishes , and wonderings and all fluttering sweetness. Enchante!

Many thanks, Dalene and Rod, I really appreciate your feedback. Carole.

Very good use of colour, love the looseness of the painting and the spattering technique used.

Very nice painting, for a bit of fun, keep on having fun

I love it - shows how fragile and vulnerable is the perfect beauty in the nature - we don't have to touch it, only admire. Great painting!

Thank you Alan, James and Valia for your time to comment, much appreciated. Happy New Year to you all~~~~~~Carole.

Absolutely beautiful Carole. I admire the lightness and lovely colours; magical

Thanks so much everyone.

Beautiful and ethereal! I'm inspired by your use of different watercolor media in your paintings!

Thanks very much for your comments on my flowers and whippets Carole!

Many thanks for your comments on my lion and hydrangea, Carole! In answer to your question, it's easy if you know how, or if you have a versatile teacher who's stuck at nothing! If you're interested, for the grass in the lion scene, I created the grass using masking fluid, then as a final step, I used a brush with the darkest toned paint to skim at random over patches of grass so it gives the grass an unevenly- lighted appearance. I leave the top of the grass untouched at this last stage, thereby keeping the lightest part at the top.

Super work

Carole - looking at your gallery after your kind comment. I love this one - such lovely colours. All great pictures.

Sorry Carole I forgot to answer your question { old age } --- yes I do use acrylic ink, mainly FW inks and perhaps a little W/N ink. ----- The above work is so beautiful, and I love that iridescent touch

Hello Carole. I came across your portfolio by accident. I love this piece and also your "Faqntasy Vineyard" - stunning colours. So fantastic to see something a bit different from the mainly representational work that is on the painters-online site. Thanks for sharing these!
