As always well observed Carole. Can, or do we eat it??

Thanks John, no don't eat it, Iris rhizome 😝

I love the way you have used the shading to show the texture Carole

Nice to see drawings and sketches well observed and executed Carole.

Extremely good, shading and texture.

This is again a great addition to your stunning drawing gallery, Carole, fantastic.

Not familiar with the topic, but the sketch id excellent Carole.

Fabulous drawing Carole, lovely detail.

Another brilliant observation of plant life. Just seen your answer to Johns question, thought it was an Iris LOL.

super details for this Iris root or Rhizome, it looks just like the ones in our garden. lovely well done Carole

Beautifully observed and executed Carole.

Thanks all very much. Staying in a cottage in Peak District this week so new plant stuff to draw. There's still some acanthus flowers in bloom (bears' britches) look like a challenge!

Good job carole.

Expert observational skills Carole.

Thank you very much Val and Gudrun.

A wonderful drawing Carole. It looks more dramatic in pencil.
