A very good exercise, this - so many of us say 'I can't draw hands', or, if they're trying a portrait or figure study, make sure the hands are conveniently tucked behind something or just out of view; but you're your own perfect model - you can practise on your own hands, and feet, for as long as you like, twist them into any position you like, draw them as large as you wish, since it's easier to draw big....... (on the whole). And this one - is a good hand!

Such good practice and this is very accomplished.

Thank you for your positive comments on this, much appreciated as I don't 'do' anatomical bits usually. I was just sitting there pondering what on earth I could draw and noticed this old wrinkled hand in front of me :)

Beautiful drawing Carole. Its not easy to draw when one hand stays still for posing.

Trying different things is ,I find, a great way to develop skill sets.It also means that there is always something to work with. Nice sketch.

This is a great drawing, Carole: always "at hand"!

Thank you very much for your encouraging comments all. Mia I remember you drawing your feet a while ago....... :)

love to see you colour it in Carole....

Super study Carole.....I should do more!

A lovely sketch Carole,

You are all very kind thank you :)

And we all know how difficult they are to look right, this is looking pretty good Carole so well done to you.

Aww thanks Alan, much appreciate your comment.

Such a good drawing Carole which couldn't have been easy. I'm not sure that I could have kept my left hand still for the time it would take to draw :)

Excellent sketch Carole

Good drawing Carole, even the watch strap :)
