Like the colours and textures but also reminds me of Mackintosh design

Thanks Ruth, I see what you mean the plates could be poppies? :)

Nah, you're too critical, Carole. That's a decent job!

A good idea Carole but the gold over the yellow has lost the impact it might well have had. But the red works. Abstract is very difficult. I thing the best one I did was with bits of material stitched in with a sowing machine.

Such a happy painting Carole and certainly very different. The textures are wonderful and I love the golden plates, knives, forks and spoons. You have used imagination and I hope that you enjoyed playing with paint. Thank you for taking part!

Ah ah thanks everyone! Yes Satu quite a challenge! Certainly enjoyed it thank you.

I didn't think of going for the texture element Carole, well thought out and applied....I like it!

I'd like to come to your picnics! I'm sure would have luxury grub. This I like.

I think it's very imaginative and it gets you thoughts going Carole. I love the plastic chequered tablecloth.

Thanks all, it would be a lovely picnic if the sand wasn't in the sarnies;))

Living on the coast, I am used to have sand all over when walking on the beach, so... well done, Carole! This is very special, love the colours!

It caught my eye straight away, last night, and made me wonder what Satu's challenge was. Abstract means lots of things to me, involving shapes, colours, suggestion. Got me going, anyway!

So imaginative and so good to see Carole!

Just noticed this exquisite abstract Carole - nooo this is not rubbish but very clever

Carole, I love this - the colours work so well together, and the textured gold finishes it off really nicely.
