Pansy one liner

Pansy one liner

Ah, the 'one-liner eyes closed' method..I imagine it took little time and know for sure that you enjoyed that liberating feeling when drawing them so well. You've even got that folding over of the edge of the petals, pansy shapes and rather a good composition. They'll be more to follow. Drawings of subjects which wouldn't normally appeal to you.. this is what happens I find!!

I agree with Louise, you'll be tackling things that you would normally shy away from. This is great!

I was wondering when you would get around to painting your wonderful flowers! Eyes shut eh?? must give that one a go!! lol

I was also wondering if you were going to apply some loose washes to these gorgeous flowers. I love the double pen lines at the edge of the petals and expressively drawn leaves. Great dynamic drawing.

Thanks ladies for your kind comments. Thea will put a wash on it for you.

Excellent Carole, look forward to seeing it with colour.

It seems that you have to put colour in your pansies Carole! They look really lovely without colour too! I must try the eyes closed method soon. Isn't this whole thing liberating and fun!?

Thanks Satu, the paper doesn't take watercolour very well just cheap drawing paper will try some col pencils ;) Thank you Gudrun.

This has a very spontaneous and artistic feel to it. It's lovely, Carole!

If I got this result with my eyes open I would be very pleased with myself ,so hats off to you Carole!

This was done with eyes shut, enjoyed doing this as on home ground with flowers.
