Lovely pencil work Carole, great old tree, still standing tall and proud.

2B of not 2B, to be I think. Good drawing Carole.

Brilliant you have captured the essence of this lovely old tree to perfection.

Your work is brilliant Carole.

Beautifully drawn. Your lines really catch the texture of the tree.

"or not 2B" - sorry Carole, couldn't resist! The bark looks lovely, in fact I am surprised that dark is a 2B. Just noticed John has said the same (great minds and all that.....)

Old trees are one of my favourite subjects for drawings and photo's, Carole. This is really beautiful.

Nice line work Carol and you have really used the softer pencil to good effect to give that sence of depth and shadow in the hollows, nice one.

What patience you have. Such a beautiful drawing!

Magnificent drawing Carole!

So successful with the viewpoint Carole and great pencil work.

Much appreciated thank you for your encouragement. I have a selection of the cheap Boldmere pencils, they are really good I think.

BTW, love the Shakespeare quotes! 🤗🤗

treemendous carole.

Agree with all the comments ....lovely drawing...is this an observation or from imagination?

Great sketch Carole. Love it.

Realistic drawing: very convincing result.

... and a lovely point of view, in a uniform grey background. No disturbing elements. Great!

Old trees like this fascinates me, and this drawing held my attention, great drawing Carole.

Thank you all very much. Sylvia a bit of each.

Just fabulous, Carole! Wonderful tones, subtle yet with accents in all the right places, delicate yet strong. Beautiful!
