This is lovely! I especially like the contrast between the dark leaves & berries and the delicate white flowers. Beautiful. Our snowdrops have only just come out - everything is so late this year. I long for sunshine.

Thanks so much Helen. My snowdrops have been out for a while now and I thought we were late! Just got buds on daffs now. I think Summer will never come!!

superb watercolours these Carole, you are both brave and talented using watercolour in a way that requires such control, well done!

One again a fantastic botanical piece Carole, Ilvoe your use of colour contrasts. Beautiful!

A lovely piece Carol and I see the pesky slugs have even got to your ivy !! Makes a nice unusual composition the ivy with the snowdrops. Our daffs are showing colour, I managed to paint some earlier in the week, but the weather has been so bad yesterday and today, gale force winds and sleet and snow, it's ruined everything that was beginning to show life. My poor camellia bush, I could cry when I look at it now compared to last week. I wonder if this winter will ever end!!

You are just amazing. As Val mentioned re the subject. Very clever and complimentary. I like it very much indeed.

You've made my day everyone, thank you so much. Val I have one daff out the others are tight green buds. I bought a witchhazel tree the other week, it said on the label to keep in sheltered spot out of strong winds! Fat chance, the flowers have gone now needless to say. I see you have terrible weather up there! Still waiting for signs of global warming eh!

Another beautiful painting, one of my favourite flowers and you have painted this so well.

Agree with all the above. A beautiful and delicate watercolour painting.

Composition, palette - it's beautiful.Well done, once again.

Thank you Lesley, Julia and Avril, very kind.

Hi, Carole! You recently were kind enough to comment on something of mine so I thought I'd look you up! You've got such a lot of high-quality work on display, it seems invidious to comment on only one but I have a particular soft spot for botanical-type pictures such as this one. It shows a high degree of observational skill, as well as technique in actually rendering those observations so beautifully. Very well done! Do you have a website? I can recommend it, if you haven't. I've got more stuff on view at www.mypersonalportrait.co.uk , should you be interested. I love having my own bit of cyberspace available to show my work - apart from this forum, of course! Keep up the excellent work!

Thank you Carole for your kind comment on my drawing. This is a gorgeous botanical, love it!

wow.............so delicate and detailed

This painting is lovely, so much movement. I love the shapes the leaves form and the light on the berries.
