Winter hydrangea

Comments

I love the colours of hydrangeas in the winter. This is beautiful, Carole.

Wow, that’s really lovely. Must try some alcohol!

How lovely is this Carole - what did the alcohol do, fascinated?!

Wow this is so beautifully painted Carole

I love hydrangeas but I have trouble keeping them alive. Beautiful painting carole 💗

Thank you. Heather it is isopropyl alcohol.

Really lovely work Carole. I guessed that it wasn't your gin :)

Love how experienced are Carole, this is gorgeous. I once suggested you illustrate a children's book, add greetings cards to your list if you don't do them already!

Very pretty and lovely effects with the alcohol, might give it a try Carole.

Lovely loose washes.

A super painting, Carole. Love the use of the alcohol, it adds so much spontaneity to the whole.

I’ve been patiently waiting for this years Hydrangea flower from you, they never disappoint…..stunning.

Nice painting Carol haven't tried alcohol before, apart from drinking it lol.

Thanks all for your kind encouragement, lovely to read your views! No Louise not my gin! Thank you Fiona for waiting;) Shaun you can do both ! Sarah you are too kind, I wouldn’t have the courage.

Beautiful watercolour Carole.

Thank you very much everyone much appreciated.

Interesting effect with your "gin" Carole and the fading out of the leaves adds to the effect of the hydrangea being in the later stages of life. Beautiful.
