Looking at it on here I wonder if the eagle should be darker?

Yes, perhaps part of it could take a splash more, but nit picking, it's interesting with the textures and colours.

Beautiful colours, Carole, and you master textures very well.

Great texture in this Carole, very interesting work. Yes maybe the eagle could be a shade darker but it's lovely anyway.

I like this Carole!!

What fab textures....

Smashing piece Carole. Beautiful texture.

Love the textures, Carole, and beautiful colours too. So free.

Very atmospheric picture, Carole - I like this a lot...

I love those three like strands. Such interesting texture. I suppose the eagle could have some darks in it but whether you do or don't, it's a lovely painting

Smashing textures Carole!

Many thank everyone for your kind comments and suggestions, think I will darken the birdie ;)

Carole, this is lovely, but I do feel that the eagle is at odds with and distracts from your composition and might be better left out? Just a suggestion. Your textures in this are so lovely and to me it seems a slight change from your usual plant life paintings. x

Very nice Carole. lovely colours

Thank you John and David for your kind comments. Thanks Ruth really appreciate your suggestion, the eagle is an experiment I stencilled on with thick gesso when I gessoed the board, he is stood proud so I can't get rid of him :))

The textures have made a really interesting painting Carole, complimented by the colour combination.

This is superb Carole - ( I've been experimenting with similar textures and it's more difficult than it looks )

Very successful undergrowth with lovely colours Carole. I was wondering if you added some texture for the eagle?

This is great, Carole. Love the bright colours and the texture.

Thanks Fiona, Lynne Satu and Mia. Satu that's a good idea it may bring him forward and give more definition thank you ;)

Fantastic colours and textures Carole a good eagle too but maybe he could be a bit darker against the blue sky.
