I really like this, Fiona, and I think you've done a very good job with the faces. This painting has a lot of character, and you've painted the different tones in the clothing very well.

I usually avoid people in my paintings, but I thought it was time to try. This scene in a French market is from a photo I took a few years ago. I'm not happy about the faces but I need to practise.

Fiona Rossington

After a career teaching Science, I am now retired and have time to enjoy a local Art class. I find pastel suits my style but I also enjoy trying to use water colours to good effect. I love painting flowers but also enjoy buildings, which so far I have painted from photos I have taken.
