It's a lovely style, Fiona...I do like it, it is rather fairy-tale illustration

This is so pretty and as Ruth has said it has a 'fairy tale' feel to it -lovely.

A very original style. I love the lost and found edges.......so delicate.

lovely watercolour! I like the way that the towers are just visible behind the trees and isn't Carcassone a beautiful place? Well done!

Lovely style and, like like Ruth says, like something from a fairytale.

Very unusual, really lovely.

Lovely watercolour Fiona

A beautiful, delicate painting Fiona.

Lovely use of colour, has a'dreamy' quality.

I really like the way you have handled the trees - misty but with hard edges near the buildings - it is very effective and cleverly done. Super vignette of this lovely French town.

It's all be said, Fiona - this is beautiful with an air of mystery.

A lovely gentle style and so effective Fiona.

I love the way you have washed in the foreground trees - something I have never tried but you inspired me - a really pleasing study.

I do like your style. This is very atmospheric.

I agree with those who have already written. Lovely.

What can I say, thank you all for your amazing and constructive comments they are very much appreciated. Wish I could make the time to do more.

Love the way you captured the scene in vignette form, Fiona! The misty atmosphere and the recession are beautifully done. Gorgeous!

Are you using a tinted paper here, I wonder... and if so, which one? Its surface is so perfectly right for this style of painting. And very beautiful it is, too.

Thank you so much every one. Robert I don't use tinted paper for this one I guess I used just my usual Bockingford 300gsm NOT water colour paper. When I painted most of my French pictures I photographed them and put them onto photo shop I have a problem with it showing a greyness around the outside of my paintings. I can't get rid of it and now scan my paintings. Can any one help me to erase the grey please?
