I love the trees and colours here I'm interested to see how you change the house, not easy with watercolour. The shape of the house is good but I'm guessing you're not too happy with the windows and door shapes? It's a very nice work but I think that I would also change the building slightly. Hope you post it ! ( Don't alter any of the rest of the painting as it's perfect !)

Good contrast with the darks and lights here. Good luck with your changes.

Gosh I haven't been there since I took a school group about 25 years ago. It hasn't changed at all. Immediately recognisable. I love the colours.

The colors are gorgeous, Fiona, and the misty atmosphere is superb.

A lovely painting Fiona, great colours.

Love this. You painted the trees and especially the reflections in the water beautifully.

I agree with Mia. Love the colours too.

Thank you all so much. I took this to my art society where there was an artist doing a crit on our work. He saw this and laughed out loud, he didn't have a good word to say about it. I'm so pleased you all like it and have encouraged me to improve it, maybe tomorrow if it's raining and I don't get out into the allotment!

I like this lots, building and all. Its quirky and atmospheric. You stick to your guns. You have lots of weaponry

It's perfect the way it is, I love the character of the boathouse ( I know it well) it looks like a little face. Love the trees and the colours too, reminds me of Louise Naimian's paintings. Let us know who this so called artist was and the we can all go and laugh at his work!

I'm going to change the building on this one when I get a minute as I know it's not right, will post the amended pic when it's done. This is in Cumbria near Brampton.
