I have often wanted to paint leaves against the sky but knew it to be too daunting an undertaking. What courage you have to take on the difficult challenge of painting leaves and trees and sky and have them read beautifully together. Hang it on your ceiling. It's a winner.

Thank you all very much for your encouraging comments. Because there were some lucky brush strokes that I found very interesting, yesterday I tried to add more of those. I totally ruined it .... I think I'll try from scratch on a new canvas, this reference is good to try new things

Oil on A4, looking up to the leaves. After a couple weeks not painting at all I wanted to try something different. It didn't turn as I had it in mind. Not too happy but Autumn colours are always nice, and I painted at last.
