It certainly works with those clouds, my eye goes straight to them and their glow. A helpful explanation too as to how you achieved the effect.

I like it, shining cloud is amazingly done!

This reminds me of Tonalism, which I love. This painting is beautiful: harmony of color; simplified shapes; wonderful greys. Tree shadows? I see furrowed fields, not tree shadows. But "reality" of what the shadows are doesn't matter. The excellent composition of the dark brown, slight tonal variations of the "rows" of the earth are rich leading the eye to the clouds. (Constructive criticism: not sure it matters. The upper sky looks a wee bit like waves in the ocean.)
