Thank you all for the encouragement. I have always shied away from faces but I think I might do more. I certainly found this hard but ultimately satisfying

I had a photo of this beautiful lady and wanted to capture the expression. I wonder what she has seen and been through. Or perhaps she is just lost in thought. I used black and white acrylic paint which was tough as it dried rather quickly.
