View of the popular song festival 'Habaneras' which takes place in the summer in Calella on the Costa Brava in Spain. When watching it this summer I was inspired to paint this striking nightscape. I liked the effect of the brightly lit white buildings in the night and over the dark Mediterrean sea and all the strange, almost unreal, reflections on the water.
