If you’ve ever watched a group of oystercatchers you’ll have seen these occasional displays, when two or more birds start strutting about whilst piping noisily. It looks a bit comical, but no doubt has a serious purpose. At least nobody gets hurt. These were on Redcar beach. Watercolour on Bockingford CP, 14x10".
