An excellent study of Autumn leaves - sycamore or maple? Surrounded by trees out here, but I still misidentify them. This is a skilful painting - clean edges, the untouched paper pristine, none of this splattering people seem determined to employ, for reasons which escape me..... Wonderful, and mysterious, how a simple compostion of beautifully painted objects can convey so much.
