Don't worry, posting sideways makes it more interesting (I've done it myself, adds a "je ne said quoi"). Well done for completing your first commission, it takes much more time than a usual painting doesn't it because we feel so anxious to do a good job. Well you have done a good job and I hope you get a good response. Thank you ,too, for your lovely comments to me.

Love the face, especially the eye. Very nice. Very good gallery :). Thank you so much for your lovely comments on my gallery and I am so sorry to have taken so long to answer your question about copyright on the paintings. Sorry you have had the same problem. The cheek of people. I had to look for a programme which did watermarks as it can't be taken off. The progamme I used was Digital Photo Professional and it is very easy to do.

So sorry but the programme I use is called AVS Image Converter and not Digital Photo Professional.

Well done lovely work Elizabeth, what an unusual first commission!

Hi Elizabeth thanks so much for your lovely comment on my portrait of Nelson Mandela, really pleased you like it so much, I really enjoyed working on it, and it's good to see comments appearing on it

Hi Elizabeth thanks for your lovely comment on my latest pastel portrait of the 2yr old 'Angel' really pleased you like his eyes, they were the feature that made this one irresistible to have a go at!

Hi Elizabeth, this pic is beautiful. Is it pastels? How did you manage the very fine white 'fur' lines? I find those hard. I see from the comments above that (reading between the lines) someone may have been producing copies in photo format of your paintings? Well, Picassa, which is free to download has a section for adding 'copyright' across your pic, it's very good. I quite often forget to do it though!

Thank you all for your kind comments. The painting is in acrylics & I used a combination of a butchered fan brush & a 000 watercolour brush for the fine lines. I entered a few paintings in a local show last year, someone was busy taking photos of my "fun" ones for their kids &someone else wanted to do painting copies....as they were out of my imagination, difficult to know whether to be complimented or upset -- they were not highly priced! I decided to let it go, & be complimented!

Really love this one Elizabeth, you asked how long my drawings take, well usually 12hrs, I do 3 4hr stints,

Was asked to paint this - my first commission - of a guanaco llama. And yes he'd really does have that odd red mane down his neck.
