Superb! Love this one very much....the buildings reaching up and the overlaying of subsequent washes.

Lovely work Edo, the water looks suitably wet.

Thank you all! This one was on Bockingford, a half sheet 200 lbs Edward Wesson paper, and a Hilder Approach!

Love your style and your palette Edo!

I have just caught up with your selection of paintings . Really superb . . . vibrant and transparent and that's how I like to see watercolours. I look forward to seeing more of your work!

Thanks Christine and Roger! Your comments makes me very happy!

Very occasionally someone posts paintings on POL that you have to come back to time and time again. And I have returned to your gallery many times. I want to thank you for showing these, they are all beautifully done, and a lesson in how a watercolour should be. Also, thanks for the tip about the Rowland Hilder book. I'll buy it, but can't hope to reach your level. Many thanks.

Tony, thank you so much for this wonderful comments! I get a bit shy here! But glad you like my watercolors! I can also recommend a page from my friend Kees van Aalst. He have some online lessons/workshops, also in English www.keesvanaalst.nl He is a master in painting loose and abstraction of a scene. I learned a lot from him, but still not as loose as he is! Well he have more then 50 years experience in watercolor! Best regards Edo

Thank you Edo. i took a look at Kees van Aalst. Good yes, but a little too abstract for my taste. You don't need to be shy about your art, it is superb (and yes, I came back..........again..........)

A watercolor after I bought a book from Rowland Hilder, and how he did skies, and layered up his washes!
