This is a lovely picture, Dympna. Such a clever mixture of sensitive, delicate, accurate.

Thank you Shirley for your comment. I worked from a photo I took on my iPad and then added the figures from memory. It looks like I am viewing the scene from high up. That wasn't the case but I decided to leave it like that anyway.

Watercolour. Arches 300gsm. I walked from Marlow to Cookham by the Thames to visit Stanley Spencer's Gallery. I always wanted to visit his village and see his paintings there. I was not disappointed with the gallery. Also wanted to photograph Cookham church which features in so much of his work. I love walking by the Thames to take photos for painting. I uploaded this painting again to move everything into one portfolio.
