Love the colours, love the subject, love the expertise, but not so sure about the bird skull!

Lovely fresh feel to this, love the palette, shadows and your wonderful painting style. That vibrant red square interests me, I've held my finger over it to see what it looks like without it, for me it definitely adds something to the painting.

the paper bags are super Dennis, great composition well done :)

Enjoyed the quirk again Dennis. Followed the shadows ,their interplay with one another.

Intrigued by this, Dennis....And with a slightly disturbed reaction....Brilliantly painted but..........?

I agree with all the above, lovely painting

Agree with above. As I have said before, I really like your paintings; composition and use of colour.

I agree with all of the above. What a nice change to see a painting that is totally different :)

Wonderful study in colour and shadow: I don't quite see why Ruth is somewhat troubled by it .... it's a very clean skull, after all.... Perhaps it's not something you expect to see on your occasional table, next to the shopping; but then, that's the artful juxtaposition at which Dennis excels ..... By the way, for connoisseurs of the supreme put-down, do look at his comment on another comment on his nude with the chequered board: I'm still spluttering with laughter every time I think of it: worthy of the great Groucho (I sense I've said this before, but have a look anyway - who cares about painting when you can give someone a really sharp kick in the ribs....?)

An extraordinary work. Once again my eye was caught immediately by this painting . Your work does stand out and holds one's attention.

Beautiful painting Dennis

like a photograph Dennis, perfect, incredibly crisp and clear :-)

Thank you once again for your comments. I do like to go for the unexpected and tend to put in something that jars to prevent the picture becoming too predictable. This could be as here an unexpected object as here,or something like a vase balanced on the edge of a table. Just keeps it from becoming predictable.
