Acrylic on canvas 24x18 approx. I took some photos of a friend in the summer in the local lavender fields and wanted to paint something other than the typical image. The lavender was built up with modelling paste. I must admit I did find it quite difficult painting in monotone. I don’t want to see violet for a bit!!
