You've got no worries Bob - a great result.

Yes, a great result, Bob...super work on the rough fur...a real cutie he is!!!

Hey this is good, wish I could achieve this.

Love this one Bob you really have caught the character

You have done well on this Bob, he looks a cheeky little character, no need to worry at all.

Thanks Michael, Chandra, Carole and Dennis. Your comments and encouragement mean a lot to me as all of your works amaze and inspire me. Carole, you can knock spots off this!!!

Oh no I can't! But thanks for the vote of confidence;)

No need for the nerves Bob, it's a cracker!

This is the image of little Sadie who lives down the road. I once tried to paint her but I had taken lots of photos of her in the bright sunlight - oops! I'm amazed how well Oscar has turned out Bob. Well done.

Ps. Sorry Bob - didn't mean to suggest that I was amazed you have produced this - if you know what I mean.

Thank you very much, Margaret and Fiona for your comments and encouragement :-) Ha ha!! I didn't read it like that at all, Adele, and thank you very much ! It's funny, sometimes I look at things that I've done and can't believe that I've done it !! It's the most amazing thing, this painting lark !!

Oops! And that sounds big- headed but really it's far from it!!! :-)

If i had a dog i would get you to paint it...great

Cheers Peter. You're a gent ! Likewise if I ever own a primate, you're my man !! :-)

It's always hard to use other people's photos. You have painted this very well. The eyes have it!

Thanks very much Gudrun. Yes it's not a pose I would have chosen given the choice. I've just been given two more dogs to do, a black Labrador and a cavalier spaniel ( I think), both with the same pose problem. But, I'm happy. Beggars can't be choosers, as they say !

Oh he is lovely, so alive, and showing real character in the painting. Well done!

You are very kind, Ruth. Thank you very much :-)

Another one looking down on the dog, but works because the dogs head fills the frame. I very much like the colouring in this piece Bob.

Thanks John. And I think the looser background is better too?
