Good reflection on the water Bob, and nice duck.

and lovely one to ,little is more.

Less is more Bob and you might have overworked this beauty .

Thank you all very much for your comments. This little challenge is really helping me get back into the swing of painting again, and I'm enjoying the process. Derek, I always appreciate your critique- I don't always enjoy it, but I take it on board because I know that I will benefit in the long run. Could I ask you to expand on why you think this piece is overworked, please? Only because, this challenge I've set myself is to make an image in around an hour and I don't see how I could overwork it given the timescale. So I must conclude that I don't really understand the term "overworked "

You slipped this one in without me noticing it Bob. 'D' is for Damn good!!! Can't wait to see what 'E' will be, I'm starting to guess......I need to get out more! Perhaps Derek means, you could have over worked it but you haven't....?

Yes I think Fiona is right, that is what Derek meant to say Bob.

Thank you so much, Fiona and Carole. For your comments and also for putting me straight ! Having re-read Derek's comment, I don't see how I could have misinterpreted it ! Derek, my sincere apologies. I am prostrate on the floor, humbled before you. 😊

This was part of a larger painting (20"x16")but I ran out of time. Think I prefer it like this anyway? It's much less fussy.
