All my recenty drawings are based on my own photos but this one is based on an Internet free photo. It attracted me because it is our home town song. In the verse they are called the heavenly dancers. I am 77 but have only ever seen them twice in my lifetime, the first time being around 20 years ago when it took me some time to realise what I was looking at and the last time was last year when part of them showed up as I looked out the window. I could never do them justice by drawing them but they are certainly a sight to see. Usualy they are well hidden by the awful conditons in weather that we experience here when anything major is happening. Coloured pencils on black paper for our library display.
