I like the tempo of this painting Dorothy, as it expresses the people enjoying themselves and the colours are illustrious and vibrant. I admire the way you painted all the figures in their various postures, gestures and happy conversations as they gather together in harmoniously! Excellent Acrylic expressionist composition!

I understand completely what you are saying Dorothy as I have used copying the masters as a method of learning. I don’t think I achieved this level of skill I’m my efforts you must be really pleased with this excellent acrylic painting.

Bravo Dorothy. One of my favorite paintings. Way back I tried copying a couple of Renoir's paintings, having the quaint idea that they might be easier than some other artist's. They weren't. I'm not brave enough to attempt this one. Great job.

This is a brilliant version of the painting Dorothy, the rich colours and good rapport between the crowd.

Fabulous result Dorothy!

That's a great version of the masterpiece Dorothy, such a lot of work but well worth it.

I enjoy having a go at copying masterpieces I am fond of and like a challenge. Though I don't paint Impressionism normally, I thought I would try and incorporate some of it in this painting. It doesn't show up too well in this photo. I personally learn a lot from doing something like this and found it extremely enjoyable and it certainly kept me focussed. There is a great deal to be learned, especially in the drawing up of it when there is only a small pic available to copy from and in parts it was very difficult to see what was going on. I did it my way for my own pleasure. It is 16 x 20 inch on canvas in acrylic
