TIMES OF MALTA Sunday, October 16, 2011, 00:00 TRAVELLING TOMATOES Maltese Tomatoes, a painting in ecoline liquid watercolours by Doranne Alden Caruana, was selected to appear, out of hundreds of submissions worldwide, in October's issue of another UK best-selling art magazine Artists and Illustrators. The painting came about as a challenge from one of Caruana's friends. After viewing another watercolour by the artist, of EU standard tomatoes Alden's friend challenged her to do some Maltese style tomatoes.
