So do I! (And thank goodness for that: it would be awful if someone took my advice and made it worse..) You've succeeded in throwing the building back into the landscape, so that it now looks much more naturally part of it - and in so doing, I think you've made the building more interesting. The scale works better, the aerial perspective is more convincing.

Lovely , you have worked hard for this one.

Important point, that - all the things you think are important - inspiration, base skills, appropriate materials - ARE important: but hard work is probably the one thing without which none of the rest is going to prove successful.

Actually - do you know..... I'm quite pleased with myself for offering you that advice (wish I could advise myself!) because I think this is SO much better than the previous version...... Well, enough of this self-praise: YOU painted the picture, not me, and it works really well.

Thank you for posting more than one version of your painting. It is so good to see the progress and I think that front stone is great.

Thank you all for your comments. That's life in general isn't it Robert -it's so much easier to advise other people than to see what one should do oneself!

Have tried to follow your advice Robert. I think this is an improvement.
