I really like this Diana superbly clever work.

You've certainly captured the shapes and depth there.

This is gorgeous and amazing, Diana, great proof of skill and charming subject.

Thank you Jenny,Peter,Sarah,Dennis,Carole,Derekand Cesare.. I'm really pleased that you like it. At 3.00 yesterday , it cam very close to being in the bin! Diana

Good grief Diana, please don't bin it, it's a wonderful piece of art. Love the washes and the intricacy of the more detailed areas is outstanding.

Diana, this is absolutely beautiful, just as it is - it has an almost 3D feel to it - and the colours are lovely. (After spending so many hours on a painting I think we are often our own worst critics when it comes to judging its success.)

Thank you Fiona. I made the lbackground wash too dark and clumsy but managed to scrub it off with lots of water. Thank goodness for tough paper. Jenny, thank you , and yes, we are dreadful critics. Often better looking again sfter a few days. Diana

Love it Diana , beautiful washes and colouring

Diana - this is definitely NOT bland - in fact it's quite magical ! - - the colours and tones have a lovely harmony and the fluidity of your paint work is perfect

Diana you should feel pleased with this one love the light effect the painting is full of interest I can see what attracted you to this subject .

Thank you for your encouragement Dermot ,Lynne and David . I really appreciate the opinions of three artists whose work I admire Diana

Such richness of colour here, Diana. Lovely.

Hang on Studio Wall

Half imperial watercolour on Saunders Waterford 250rough I took this picture of a window on the Sagrada Familia Barcelona. I loved the colours and light but as a painting it is a bit bland composition wise plus no real focal point. I'm about 50% OK with it but need a break. It may benefit from a few more hours at some point
