I do like this, very accomplished, you've no problem with acrylic. like the rest of your work a very high standard..

Diana, you are treating those of us who love a limited palette! Absolutely love it!

Wonderful colour and sparkle depth and atmosphere Diana

Love this palette Diana, a gorgeous landscape.

Lovely and atmospheric - makes me want to try working on this scale.

Now this is a smasher and i love the colour combinations Diana - hacve to agree about the freedom of working in this abstract way - it's such a welcome distraction after the more detailed work.

Love the atmosphere, and the texture is great. An interesting painting of high quality.

I can see the excitement in this picture Diana lovely atmospheric painting very good control of colour, well done David Harrison

Thank you Alan ..beginners luck!! I did try a more realistic version but gave up and took the pressure off. Fiona, I am a great fan of a limited palette and the somber colours! I'm a very happy person though! Thanks Dennis.. You certainly know how to put the sparkle into a piece Thank you Carole , I love the dark earth colours and indigo usually makes an appearance. Thank you Teddi. In a way, working on that scale is less daunting and gives a lot more freedom to try sweeping brushstrokes . Thank you Michael, it's lovely to read this feedback. I certainly enjoyed myself. I have loads of paint bought for Christmas so will be able to have a few more 'free play' sessions. Thank you Helen .Its interesting to see how varied how colour combinations have more or less appeal. Thank you Andre. It's maybe something that I will try again as I have lots of paint unused. I literally wanted to fill a few large areas of bare wall as quickly as possible . Thank you David . I am delighted to read that the subject matter is not lost . I felt a lot more of my emotion going into this painting in contrast to the technical l limitations of watercolour.

I don't know how I've missed this beautiful piece of art before? I love it!

Thank you Frank ,it was fun to paint and given me the urge to try another one in acrylics Diana

Playing with acrylics which are alien to me. 36x24 '' It was fun to let rip with free abandon using a combination of brush and knife. The reference photo has 2/3rds grey sky with highlights catching the fells at the bottom.
