This is brilliant Dermot- I know how difficult this sort of subject can be in watercolour. I love the way you have treated the foreground tree (always difficult in pure watercolour). The feeling of sunlight is really lovely .The wet into wet treatment of the water & background is just right.

Very effective sunlit scene Dermot, the eye goes right through towards the far bridge.

'Letting fly' paid off Dermot, lovely wet in wet washes.

I like your 'jump in and let fly' painting Dermot. Beautiful dark tree frames this very well.
